Raymont took his black belt test back in June...June 26th to be exact. It has taken 2 1/2 months for his belt and certificate to arrive. When they take the test they have to send their test results to the World Tae Kwon Do Federation in Korea. From there if they passed it is in Korea where they make his belt, certificate and card. On the certificate they recognized Raymont as the first poom (which means 1st degree) black belt on July 20, 2009. Here is Master Christian presenting the award to Raymont.
People that were on hand to witness the event was Tita Vilma, Tito Ralph; Vanessa's friends, Jaime and Sam; and of course Vanessa, Rav, Steve, Kathryn and myself.
His belt is authentic as the name of the federation is sewn on the left side of his belt. On the right is his name spelled in Korean.

Raymont's next test will be for the 2nd degree black belt. We have heard that training to get this next test takes about a year.
