Mid Mark!

It is amazing to believe that Kathryn is 6 months old now! She's halfway to reaching her birthday!! Today I took her to her 6 month checkup. She's currently 27" long (85th percentile), she weighs 18 lbs 1 oz (90th percentile), and her head circumfrence is 16 1/2" (45th percentile). She can sit well and reaches for toys. When she falls over, she's able to roll to her stomach. She can't crawl yet but she can move clockwise so she is almost there. She loves putting her feet in her mouth. She's also enjoyed her activity jumper. She can be in the jumper for 45 minutes just going up and down. She loves it so much! And when she's not in the jumper she loves to stand and use our arms to jump up and down.

She is her the 2nd stage of gerber foods. She recently went through a growth spurt and wasn't sleeping well at night. Doctor told me that at this point she'll sleep better if she eats solids 3 times a day which is what I started doing this week. We've introduced the sippy cup to her during her feedings which it's still taking getting use to but eventually I can see her drinking well from it by the end of the week.

We are finally weaning her off of Zantac and see if the throwups will continue. Since she is eating solids, I haven't seen her throw up as much. We've also decreased the amount of cereal that we are putting in her formula that was to help with her acid reflux. Hopefully within the next month or two, we can wean her off the hypoallergenic formula and try one with a bit of lactose in it.

She had four immunization shots today. :( Of the two she had the flu and H1N1 vaccine and this is only round one of those shots. We'll have to go back next month for the second shots. They didn't want to give her too many shots today so the Polio vaccine will also be taken next month. So far so good she is doing okay. A bit uncomfortable at times but we'll see how tonight goes and see if she develops a fever. She developed that the last time she had her shots.
